Soudotec becomes official distributor of Svanehoj valves

Svanehoj, known for its hydraulic emergency shut-off valves, control panels, and mechanical gauges, has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with Soudotec, a leading fluid control solutions provider active in the oil and gas sector across West Africa. Quentin Lanoy, Sales Manager at Svanehoj, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating, “With our expanding focus on West African markets, identifying a local distributor with regional expertise was critical. Soudotec’s operations in Senegal and deep understanding of local markets make them the ideal partner.”

As part of the agreement, Soudotec will not only distribute Svanehoj’s products to both new and existing LPG storage facilities but also provide technical support, maintenance services, and onsite training for Svanehoj’s Whessoe safety valves and related equipment. Matthieu Jacques, CEO of Soudotec, emphasized the partnership’s focus, saying, “We are combining our expertise with Svanehoj to deliver competent training and local support to Whessoe product users, ensuring enhanced safety and reliability.”

The collaboration aims to address the challenge of outdated valves that do not meet current safety regulations, including fire-safe certifications. Soudotec will initiate an inventory program to assess existing installations and assist end users in transitioning to compliant, fire-certified valves. Lanoy added, “Many of the existing shut-off valves are outdated and lack the required fire-safe certification. Our valves, certified in 2017, offer unmatched durability with a 20-25 year life cycle. As the original manufacturer of Whessoe shut-off valves, we are committed to helping Soudotec set the standard for fire-safe equipment in LPG facilities across Africa.”

This partnership reflects Svanehoj and Soudotec’s shared commitment to enhancing safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in the region’s energy infrastructure.
