SEW-EURODRIVE is pleased to announce that its proprietary synthetic lubricant, GearOil by SEW-EURODRIVE, is now available as an option for many of its heavy-duty gear units. Engineered and tested by SEW-EURODRIVE’s own experts, this high-performance lubricant is specifically tailored to meet the mechanical, thermal, and sealing demands of SEW-EURODRIVE gear geometries. It is now offered as part of the factory build and service solution for gear units including the X.e and MC series.
By incorporating GearOil directly into its heavy industrial gearbox line, SEW-EURODRIVE is providing customers with a fully integrated, performance-optimized system from the outset. Designed to enhance durability and reduce maintenance, the oil offers long service life, fewer required oil changes, and outstanding thermal stability. It is suitable for a wide range of lubrication systems, including pressure lubrication, splash lubrication, and oil-to-air cooling configurations. Notably, GearOil eliminates the need for the initial 500-hour oil change on X.e and MC-series units, simplifying early-stage maintenance and maximizing uptime from the start.
Now stocked in the United States, GearOil is available in new builds of SEW-EURODRIVE’s X.e and MC series gear units, as well as in 205-liter drums for aftermarket service and planned maintenance. It is also included in SEW-EURODRIVE service kits to ensure long-term operational support. This lubrication solution is ideal for critical applications in sectors such as mining and aggregate handling, steel and metal processing, pulp and paper manufacturing, water treatment, and energy systems—environments where equipment uptime and reliability are essential.
