Alfa Laval has introduced new names for two of its three business divisions, reflecting a broader transformation and renewed strategic focus.
The former Marine Division has been renamed the Ocean Division, while the Food & Water Division is now the Food & Pharma Division. According to the company, the changes align with strengthened ambitions, clearer market positioning and long-term growth strategies.
The new Ocean Division name signals a wider business approach that goes beyond traditional marine activities to encompass the full marine ecosystem.
“Ocean Division reflects who we are today and where we are heading. It signals our commitment to supporting the ocean-based industries with solutions that drive efficiency, resilience, and long-term sustainability for our customers and society at large,” says Martijn Bergink, president of the Ocean Division. “At its core, this change is about clarity and credibility – ensuring our identity reflects the role we play in enabling a more sustainable ocean economy.”
The Food & Pharma Division name highlights the division’s evolving role and its increased focus on pharmaceutical industries, while maintaining water as a core competence.
“The new name, Food & Pharma Division, will help us better represent who we are and where we are headed,” says Sammy Hulpiau, president of the Food & Pharma Division.
Meanwhile, the Energy Division will retain its current name.
