Borger launches Flowsep to reduce abrasive wear in slurry systems

Borger has introduced its new Flowsep system, designed to protect pumps and associated equipment from the damaging effects of sand, grit and fine glass particles in slurry handling applications.

Developed to work alongside the company’s established Bioselect Separator, Flowsep forms part of a closed, odourless system that significantly reduces sediment build-up. The unit is capable of extracting up to 90% of unwanted fine particles, helping to minimise wear across key system components.

The technology is suited for use in liquid manure tanks, biogas digesters, pipelines and tankers, where abrasive materials can lead to costly maintenance issues. By removing these deposits, Flowsep helps safeguard pumps, valves and other infrastructure from the corrosive impact of such particles.

In combination with the Bioselect Separator, the system also produces a stackable solid output that is easier to transport, while reducing overall storage requirements.

Flowsep offers throughput rates of up to 100 m³/h and features a compact design that allows for straightforward retrofit, including integration with existing control systems.
