Avantor unifies Masterflex portfolio to simplify bioprocess fluid handling

Avantor has expanded its Masterflex portfolio, bringing together a comprehensive range of peristaltic pumps, single-use assemblies and fluid management systems to support workflows from research through to full-scale bioprocess manufacturing.

The unified offering spans standard, configurable and engineered-to-order solutions, designed to streamline fluid handling across both development and production environments. By consolidating these technologies under a single brand, Avantor aims to simplify system selection while improving consistency as processes scale.

“For decades, Masterflex has been synonymous with precision and reliability in peristaltic pumps used in fluid handling,” said Benoit Gourdier, Executive Vice President, Bioscience & Medtech Products at Avantor. “Bringing our portfolio together under the Masterflex name makes it easier for customers to tailor solutions to their specific processes and molecules, supporting a smoother transition from development to production.”

The expanded portfolio is designed to ensure secure fluid transfer and reliable connections from laboratory through to manufacturing scale. New features include Profinet-enabled connectivity across Masterflex, MasterSense and Ismatec touchscreen peristaltic pumps, enabling seamless integration with process control systems for enhanced monitoring and automation. Purpose-built storage containers have also been introduced to improve safety and efficiency in fluid transfer operations.

Additionally, the systems can be combined with J.T. Baker high-purity process chemicals, offering a more integrated and efficient approach to bioprocessing.
