EKKI Pumps has expanded its water management portfolio with the launch of its Hori-Max range of horizontal multistage submersible sump pumps at Plumbex 2026 in Bengaluru.
The new Hori-Max series—comprising Hori-Max S, Hori-Max SVR and Hori-Max M—is engineered for water transfer and pressure boosting across residential and commercial buildings, infrastructure developments, public utilities, and agricultural applications.
Built around a multistage horizontal design, the pumps are equipped with precision-engineered components to ensure stable pressure output and high efficiency. Key hydraulic features include FG 250 cast iron diffusers and optimised impellers, with optional CF8 stainless steel variants to enhance corrosion resistance and extend operational life.
A standout capability of the range is its performance in shallow water conditions, with the ability to pump from levels as low as 1.5 feet. This is enabled by a specialised suction system incorporating bronze bushings to maintain smooth flow and minimise turbulence at low levels.
Durability is a central focus, with construction elements such as zinc-plated eye bolts, SS 304 fasteners, an aluminium die-cast rotor, and an SS420 shaft contributing to corrosion resistance and structural strength. The motor is designed for continuous duty, featuring water-cooled Class B insulated windings and a three-piece configuration that simplifies maintenance while safeguarding internal components.
Additional design features include high-flex copper cables with water-resistant PVC sheathing, sealed grommet systems to prevent leakage, and bronze bushes paired with carbon thrust bearings for reduced friction. Dual fabricated base plates help limit vibration, while stainless steel suction strainers and BSP-threaded discharge flanges support reliable, leak-free operation.
