Copeland will showcase its latest compression, controls and software technologies at Chillventa 2026, taking place from 13–15 October in Nuremberg, Germany.
The company will highlight solutions designed to address growing demand for energy-efficient cooling, electrified heating, sustainable refrigeration and industrial heat pump technologies across Europe.
Supporting the Heat Pump Transition
Copeland will present variable-speed compression technologies for a range of heat pump applications, with a focus on energy efficiency and system performance.
The company will also showcase advanced inverter swing rotary compressors developed in partnership with Daikin. The technologies are designed to support the integration of heat pump systems into residential applications as Europe continues to expand electrified heating.
For industrial applications, Copeland will feature the Vilter VQ95 single-screw heat pump, designed for high-temperature processes.
The company’s expanded industrial heat pump portfolio includes technologies capable of producing hot water at temperatures of up to 180°C and process steam up to 175°C, supporting industrial facilities seeking to reduce energy consumption and emissions.
Cooling Technology for Data Centers
Growing demand for computing capacity is increasing the need for efficient thermal management in data centers.
At Chillventa, Copeland will feature oil-free centrifugal compressors with Aero-lift™ bearing technology, designed for data center cooling applications.
The systems support low-global-warming-potential refrigerants including R-513A, R-515B and R-1234ze, providing options for facilities seeking efficient cooling solutions as computational loads increase.
Advancing Sustainable Refrigeration
Copeland will also demonstrate refrigeration technologies aimed at improving efficiency across food retail and cold-chain applications.
These include CO₂ (R-744) scroll refrigeration units for decentralised retail refrigeration, CO₂ compression solutions for centralized booster systems and propane (R-290) compressors for display cases.
The company will also highlight Bueno Analytics, software designed to help customers monitor refrigeration systems, improve operational efficiency and identify potential system issues proactively.
Expanding Industrial Technology Capabilities
Copeland has made several investments to expand its capabilities across heating, cooling, refrigeration and digital technologies.
These include the acquisition of Germany-based SPH Sustainable Process Heat, the addition of Bueno Analytics and a transaction with Dickson to strengthen environmental monitoring and cold-chain capabilities.
The company has also expanded manufacturing capacity in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, added Factory Acceptance Testing capabilities for industrial heat pump solutions and extended its joint venture with Daikin focused on residential heat pump technologies in Europe.
Technology for a Changing Energy Landscape
Copeland’s Chillventa 2026 showcase reflects the growing convergence of compression technology, electrification, digital monitoring and lower-GWP refrigerants across heating, cooling and refrigeration.
From industrial process heating and data center cooling to food retail and residential heat pumps, the technologies on display are aimed at improving energy efficiency and supporting more sustainable heating and cooling systems.
