ADNOC Secures AED3 Billion Investment in UAE Manufacturing Facilities to Boost Local Industry and Jobs

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has revealed that its supply chain partners are set to invest AED3 billion (US$817 million) in new manufacturing facilities across the United Arab Emirates. This announcement was made during the ongoing ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum in Abu Dhabi.

The planned facilities will be established in several key industrial zones, including the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD), Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), Dubai Industrial Park, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), and Umm Al Quwain. These projects are expected to create over 3,500 highly skilled private sector jobs and will focus on producing essential industrial components such as pressure vessels, pipe coatings, and fasteners.

These developments are driven by ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) programme, through which the company has signed commercial agreements enabling local and international businesses to tap into its expansive procurement pipeline. ADNOC aims to locally manufacture products worth AED90 billion (US$24.5 billion) by 2030.

Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, ADNOC’s Executive Director of People, Commercial and Corporate Support, emphasized that the investments reflect ADNOC’s commitment to strengthening the UAE’s industrial base and creating employment opportunities in the private sector. He highlighted the role of the ICV programme in supporting the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative and promoting sustainable growth and economic diversification.

The announcement includes a combination of newly operational sites, major facility expansions, and upcoming investments. These facilities are closely aligned with ADNOC’s evolving procurement needs and are part of its broader strategy to support national industrial capabilities.

Since its launch in 2018, ADNOC’s ICV programme has reinvested AED242 billion into the UAE economy and enabled the creation of 17,000 jobs for UAE nationals in the private sector. ADNOC is also encouraging manufacturers, SMEs, and entrepreneurs to explore opportunities through its ‘Make it with ADNOC’ app, which offers visibility into upcoming procurement needs and simplifies the tendering process.
