AxFlow acquires Switzerland’s Ateliers Ehrismann

AxFlow Germany is expanding its service business in Switzerland with the acquisition of Geneva-based Ateliers Ehrismann SA.

Founded in 1923, Ateliers Ehrismann services electric motors, pumps and other electrical and mechanical machinery. The company also supplies frequency converters and manufactures mechanical spare parts and electromechanical prototypes. Ateliers Ehrismann is ATEX certified for the repair of electric motors and holds a permanent stock of electric motors, frequency converters and spare parts for complete pump overhauls.

“The acquisition of Ateliers Ehrismann will make a great addition to AxFlow and is in line with our business group strategy to continue to expand our service business,” said Ole Weiner, CEO of AxFlow Holding.

“Ateliers is a leader in their local niche market and has a prominent market recognition,” said Georg Niebch, managing director of AxFlow Germany. “With Ateliers Ehrismann on board we see an opportunity for sales synergies by expanding the distribution of AxFlow’s products and services to customers in the region, while at the same time providing an even better service offering to our existing customers in Switzerland that we look after from our sales office in Muttenz.”

Martine Ehrismann, owner of Ateliers Ehrismann, said: “I am very happy that AxFlow will maintain the continuity of our company and will develop its structure with the new opportunities that the company offers. The sustainable strategy of both companies provides a very good basis for further growth.”
