Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the National Standards Body of India, has recognised EKKI Water Technology Group’s Deccan Pumps Pvt Ltd for its ‘dedication to quality and wonderful association with BIS for more than 25 years’.
The family business was founded in 1981 by P Arumugam along with his uncle KK Veluchamy and friend MS Sundaram, producing pumps under the Deccan brand. This was followed by the creation of EKKI which acquired Deccan Pumps Pvt Ltd in 2013.
“Partnering along with BIS, we have achieved many milestones,” said P Arumugam, EKKI Group CEO. “We are privileged to be the recipients of such positive vibes from BIS and our commitment to produce globally competitive products from India is strengthened more and more with such recognitions.”
