EKKI’s New Hyper Factory to Drive Advanced Manufacturing and Sustainability

EKKI is set to launch a state-of-the-art, column-free, single-span facility that will integrate several core operations, including the KOOT Advanced Components Unit, KKV Labs for advanced design and engineering, quantum testing and quality control facilities, and the EKKI Academy. This facility will enable EKKI to produce high-precision pumps, systems, and components for global markets, supporting its “Make in India, For the World” initiative.

Arumugam P, Chief Executive of EKKI, highlighted the company’s ambition: “To build world-class products, one needs world-class factories and people.”

Kanishka Arumugam, Co-CEO of EKKI, described the project as “more than just a manufacturing unit – it is a machine that builds machines.”

The new facility will leverage EKKI’s Smart Production System to seamlessly integrate machines and workstations, fostering creativity and forward-thinking operations. The EKKI Academy will play a critical role in training and upskilling the workforce for this next-generation environment. The company also reiterated its commitment to gender diversity, with plans to increase women’s participation at all levels of the organization.

Environmental sustainability is a cornerstone of the hyper factory’s design, incorporating solar energy, water conservation, and circular economy principles to minimize environmental impact while maintaining high-quality production standards.

EKKI remains deeply committed to Tamil Nadu and Coimbatore, leveraging the region’s skilled workforce, engineering talent, top research institutions, and strong supply chain to drive advanced pump manufacturing.

With four cutting-edge production facilities and an international joint venture with Germany’s global leader HOMA, EKKI exports its products to over 25 countries. The Arumugam family, which also owns Deccan Pumps Pvt Ltd, acquired the assets of Deccan Industries in 2013. Since then, the group has significantly enhanced the manufacturing capabilities of both the EKKI and D+Deccan brands, positioning itself as a leader in advanced pump manufacturing.
