Emerson Next-Generation Pneumatic Valves Now Available With Higher Flow Rates, Greater Flexibility

Emerson has introduced the latest advancements in its next-generation AVENTICS™ Series XV pneumatic valve systems, featuring enhanced flow rates, new configurations, expanded accessory options, and UL certifications. These upgrades provide original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with increased design flexibility and scalability, allowing precise valve configurations for handling systems and automation solutions.

Following the successful launch of the AVENTICS Series XV03 in most global markets in July, Emerson has now made the XV03 available in the U.S. Additionally, the company has globally introduced the larger Series XV05 and a bottom-ported version of the XV03. The XV03 delivers flow volumes of up to 350 normal liters per minute (NL/min), while the XV05 offers up to 1000 NL/min.

Beyond expanded flow rates and configurations, the Series XV valves now include UL certifications and a wider range of accessories. Both the XV03 and XV05 comply with UL429 and UL61010 standards for quality and safety. New and existing accessories enhance functionality, including separators, blank stations, pressure supply plates, sandwich pressure supply, and sandwich pressure exhaust. A custom toolbox is also available, containing essential tools for assembling XV systems.

The next phase of the XV series rollout will introduce additional accessories and expanded connectivity. New fieldbus protocols, including Powerlink and CanOpen, will be available in mid-2025, with AS-I following in late 2025. Currently, the valve systems support Profinet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, and IO-Link.

The next-generation Series XV valves leverage proven AVENTICS technology, incorporating metal threads, aluminum base plates, and a compact design to facilitate seamless integration. The AVENTICS online configurator simplifies system design and layout, ensuring easy commissioning. To reduce lead times globally, three Emerson manufacturing plants are equipped to fulfill orders efficiently.

Designed to deliver higher flow rates in a compact package, Series XV valves optimize pneumatic system performance while catering to specific market needs, including factory automation, automotive and tire manufacturing, and food and packaging applications. As part of Emerson’s Floor to Cloud™ strategy, these valves enhance machine performance at a component level, helping manufacturers improve productivity.
