Hughes Pumps Ltd: The Ultrabar 30

The Ultrabar 30 pump, often referred to as the UB30, was originally named as the maximum flowrate was 30lpm. Later, different plunger sizes were added to give a range of different flowrates. The most popular performance is currently 30lpm at 2800bar.

Typical applications for this pump include surface preparation, heat exchanger cleaning, hydro demolition & cold cutting.

Features of this pump design include:

  • Integral speed reduction gearbox, pressure lubrication, filtration & cooling
  • Unique, Optional SAE engine housing available allowing the pump to be flange mounted to a diesel engine ensuring perfect alignment (prolongs life of drive coupling and gearbox bearings) & removes all torsion (twisting) from the baseframe which can be compact & lightweight
  • Solid carbide plungers, single piece packing & internal cooling circuit
  • Pumphead design comprises 3 individual cylinder & pumphead assemblies joined by a common suction/discharge manifold, allowing individual cylinders to be maintained without disturbing adjacent ones
  • Excellent component life
