The ISH trade fair, scheduled from 17 to 21 March 2025 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, will once again highlight the latest trends and developments in the water, heat, and air sectors. Pump manufacturers will be among the exhibitors, presenting advancements in intelligent and smart pumps. These innovations integrate digital tools, offering enhanced possibilities for the building services of the future.
According to the VDMA Pumps + Systems Association, despite ongoing economic and geopolitical challenges, the German and European pump industry performed relatively well in 2024. German exports of Pumps + Systems saw a nominal decline of 4% compared to 2023, resulting in an export volume of €6.1 billion. Europe remained the primary export destination, with the USA, China, the Czech Republic, France, and the Netherlands being the top buyer countries.
The VDMA-wide economic survey revealed mixed perspectives within the building services sector, a key market for Pumps + Systems. One-third of respondents rated the current situation as good to very good, another third as satisfactory, and the remaining third as poor. Expectations for business development over the next six months remain stable, with industry representatives anticipating that sales will reach the previous year’s level of nearly €6 billion in 2025.
The event will provide valuable insights into the evolving landscape of pump technology, showcasing how digital integration is shaping the future of building services.
