LX Technologies launches new modular valves

TLX Technologies has introduced two innovative modular valves: a 4-way valve and a 3-way valve. These new components are designed to enhance thermal management controls, providing flexibility for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system design teams working on various vehicle platforms.

The high-flow valves are engineered to achieve near-zero cross-flow leakage, addressing common challenges in developing thermal management systems with optimal thermal efficiency and precise flow control.

Key features of these valves contribute to reducing overall vehicle energy consumption, thereby improving mileage or range across all fuel types. Notably, the valves do not require constant power to maintain their commanded position, and their efficient fluid flow design minimizes pressure drop. This allows the vehicle’s coolant pump to operate with less energy, enhancing the system’s fluid management capabilities.

Additionally, TLX’s modular valve family offers compatibility with diverse vehicle platforms, accommodating different communication protocols, operating voltages, and port sizes. The valves can operate at both 12 and 24 VDC and support PWM or LIN communication protocols, with the flexibility to accept various port sizes up to 25.4mm without necessitating modifications to the valve body, flow paths, or drive systems.
