Metso Launches New Life Cycle Services Framework to Strengthen Performance-Based Partnerships in Minerals Processing

Metso has introduced a new Life Cycle Services (LCS) framework, redefining how service partnerships operate across the minerals processing value chain.

The launch reinforces Metso’s role as a comprehensive, end-to-end service partner, offering a scalable model tailored to meet the industry’s increasing demand for performance-based and outcome-driven solutions.

According to the company, the framework supports a wide range of customer requirements — from basic parts supply and equipment lifecycle management to full operational support.

“The new LCS framework covers everything from basic parts delivery to complete lifecycle management, labor and shutdown services, and even integrated, flowsheet-level operations, depending on each customer’s needs,” explained Miika Tirkkonen, Senior Vice President, Integrated Service Solutions at Metso.

The first solution launched under this framework, LCS for Pumps Availability, is now available globally. It focuses on enhancing equipment availability, reducing capital expenditure, and lowering total cost of ownership (TCO) for customers.

Tirkkonen added: “The new LCS framework moves beyond traditional service contracts. It enables customers to scale their in-house expertise by tapping into Metso’s specialized knowledge and support network, creating shared value through long-term, performance-based partnerships.”

The framework introduces three partnership tiersStability, Optimization, and Growth — building on more than 15 years of LCS experience and over 550 active contracts worldwide.
