Packo launches electric lobe pump for cleaner, quieter tanker operations

Packo Pumps, part of the Verder Group, has launched the LTE series, a new range of electrically driven lobe pumps designed for use in tanker trucks serving the food and chemical industries.

The LTE represents a major advance in sustainable transport of viscous products such as chocolate, oils, syrups, and juices, combining performance with environmental responsibility.

The company says the LTE series eliminates the need for diesel engines to run during loading or unloading, cutting both emissions and energy use. By removing the requirement for hydraulic systems, the pumps also avoid the risk of oil contamination in sensitive food applications. According to Packo, this results in a cleaner, safer, and quieter transfer process that benefits both operators and the environment.

“The LTE series embodies Packo’s commitment to innovation and sustainability,” said Danny Maenhout, managing director of Packo. “By adding an electrical driven lobe pump to our portfolio, we are helping our partners modernize their fleets and contribute to a cleaner future for road transport.”

The new LTE series builds on Packo’s established transport pump range, which already includes the LT lobe pump and the RMO centrifugal pump. Constructed entirely from high-grade stainless steel, the LTE models are designed to be compact, durable, and customizable. Two models – LTE/62 and LTE/64 – are available, each offering a choice of Tri-Lobe or Scimitar rotors and multiple seal options to suit specific customer needs.

Available to truck tank OEMs and transport operators on a call-off order basis, the LTE pumps have an estimated lead time of around eight weeks.
