Packo launches MFP3/125-315 pump focused on low lifetime costs

Packo, part of the Verder Group, has launched the MFP3/125-315, the latest model in its MFP3 pump series, designed to deliver high energy efficiency and a low total cost of ownership (TCO) across a wide operating range.

The new pump has been developed with standardisation at its core. By using interchangeable parts and common components across different pump types, Packo aims to simplify maintenance and repairs, reduce operating costs and increase system availability throughout the pump’s service life.

During development, Packo moved beyond the traditional focus on peak efficiency at the best efficiency point (BEP). In many industrial processes, pumps operate under fluctuating conditions and rarely run exactly at the BEP. To address this, the MFP3/125-315 is engineered to achieve nearly 80% hydraulic efficiency over a broad range, from 60% to 120% of the flow at BEP, helping to ensure stable and efficient energy consumption under varying process demands.

A key feature of the MFP3/125-315 is its ability to maintain high efficiency even with trimmed impellers, offering greater flexibility without sacrificing performance. The pump reaches efficiencies of close to 80% at flow rates between 150 and 400 m³/h and heads of 25 to 50 m, based on measurements with water at 1,450 rpm.
