Rosenbauer unveils new Fox portable fire pump model

Rosenbauer’s Fox portable fire pump has consistently demonstrated its reliability in challenging firefighting operations worldwide. The latest Fox model offers enhanced performance, reduced weight, and user-friendly design. With an output of over 2,000 liters per minute at 10 bar, it is the first to meet the PFPN 10-2000 standard, capable of supplying two full B-tube lines with 1,000 liters per minute each.

This new Fox model, fulfilling the PFPN 10-2000 standard of EN 14466 for the first time, achieves a flow rate of 2,050 l/min at 10 bar with a three-meter suction lift, making it the most powerful Fox ever and the top-performing portable pressure pump in its class. In comparison, the 2016 version transported 1,750 l/min under similar conditions.

Rosenbauer engineers built on the 4th-generation Fox, powered by the BRP-Rotax 3-cylinder motor, and introduced various upgrades. Enhanced cooling with a larger fan and improved airflow increases the motor’s performance. The pump’s efficiency has also been optimized with the use of the same impeller as the Rosenbauer N20 in-built pump. Despite these improvements, the new Fox remains the lightest in its class, weighing only 172 kg, ready for operation according to EN 14466.

The pump’s high output offers practical benefits in firefighting scenarios, allowing more water to be transported over long distances—essential for portable fire pumps.

“With the new Fox, we continue to set benchmarks in performance, user-friendliness, and lightweight design, based on the success of the most widely-used portable fire pump in its class,” said Roland Weber, Rosenbauer’s product manager.

The new Fox model is now available for order, with deliveries expected by the end of 2024, depending on demand.
