Wilo Group Joins KI Park to Advance AI Innovation in Europe

The Wilo Group has officially joined KI Park e. V., a dynamic innovation ecosystem focused on advancing artificial intelligence (AI) in Germany and Europe.

KI Park brings together leading companies, startups, research institutions, and influential political and social stakeholders with a shared mission: to foster AI innovation “made in Germany and Europe.” As a new member, Wilo is set to play an active role in shaping the future of AI development.

“With a wide range of AI applications already integrated into the development and production of our products, systems, and solutions, Wilo is undoubtedly a pioneer in this field,” said Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group. “Our high-tech Smart Factory at our headquarters in Dortmund stands as a prime example of this commitment.”

Beyond its own operations, Wilo is contributing to the broader sustainable AI ecosystem. Peter Glauner, Regional CEO & CSO of Wilo Europe, noted: “Our pumps and pumping systems are integral across the AI value chain—for instance, they play a key role in cooling data centers.”

Dr. Florian Schütz, Managing Director of KI Park e. V., welcomed the partnership: “AI is a key technology for securing the long-term competitiveness of Germany and Europe as innovation hubs. We are excited to collaborate with Wilo and are confident we have gained a valuable partner. Like us, Wilo believes in the transformative power of AI.”
