Armstrong Unveils Larger Design Envelope End Suction Pumps, Eliminating Need for Inertia Base

Armstrong Fluid Technology has expanded its Design Envelope end suction pump range with three larger models featuring permanent magnet motors of up to 50 hp, delivering significant energy savings while eliminating the need for an inertia base.

“The new end suction pumps not only remove the requirement for an inertia base, but also reduce installation costs by up to $5,000 per pump by eliminating the need for differential pressure sensors and flow meters,” said Zeljko Terzic, Offering Manager, Pumps. “Additionally, the factory-aligned rigid coupling eliminates the need for coupling realignment during installation, further reducing labor costs and installation time.”

Designed with integrated intelligent controls, the new pumps provide up to 65% energy savings compared to traditional constant-speed or variable frequency drive (VFD) pumps, making them a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for modern pumping applications.
