SFA Saniflo USA has strengthened its partnership with nonprofit organisation Hope Vibes by donating plumbing equipment for a second mobile shower and laundry vehicle, helping expand access to essential hygiene services for underserved communities in North Carolina.
The donation includes two Sanigrind Pro grinder pump systems and one Sanicom 1 drain pump, which will be installed in the organisation’s latest “Hope Tank” mobile unit. The company previously supplied the same pump solutions for the first vehicle launched in 2020.
Hope Vibes, founded by Emmanuel and Adrienne Threatt, operates mobile hygiene units that provide shower and laundry facilities for people experiencing homelessness throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region. The initiative is designed to improve access to essential sanitation services while promoting dignity, health and wellbeing.
Each Hope Tank is equipped with two fully functional bathrooms, laundry facilities, freshwater storage and wastewater holding tanks. The Sanigrind Pro systems manage wastewater from the toilets, while the Sanicom 1 drain pump transfers grey water from washing machines into storage tanks before safe discharge into the municipal sewer network.
The mobile units operate several times each month, providing shower and laundry services to dozens of people at each location. The expansion of the programme will increase the organisation’s capacity to deliver reliable mobile sanitation services to more communities.
