GD Energy Products (GDEP) has introduced the GD 500HDD pump, expanding its advanced lineup of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) pumps.
Designed to support a variety of HDD applications, the GD 500HDD enables efficient tunneling under rivers, roads, and urban infrastructure, making it ideal for laying sewerage systems, water pipelines, fiber optic lines, and oil & gas pipelines.
With an industry-leading rod load rating of 53,000 pounds, the GD 500HDD sets a new benchmark for triplex HDD pumps. The pump’s lightweight yet powerful design maximizes flow rates while maintaining a compact footprint. It features an engineered power end frame with coated crankshaft bearings, allowing it to achieve pressures of 1000+ PSI at 600 GPM. Additionally, the next-generation fluid end technology, built from high-strength carbon steel, is designed with enhanced geometry to minimize stress and improve durability.
“The HDD industry has long needed a triplex pump with this level of rod load capacity in a compact design,” said Jose Rubin, Vice President of Sales at GDEP. “We’re excited to introduce a highly durable solution that reflects our commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding service support.”
Proudly assembled in the USA, the GD 500HDD pump ensures premium construction and long-term reliability in the field. It also incorporates GDEP’s Redline consumables, including valves, seats, pistons, and liners, extending maintenance intervals and enhancing performance. Furthermore, the redesigned internal components and seal housing effectively prevent contamination, reinforcing its longevity and efficiency in demanding HDD operations.
With its innovative features, superior rod load capacity, and precision engineering, the GD 500HDD pump is set to redefine performance standards in the HDD industry.
