Integrated Pump Technology has strengthened its customer support capabilities with the opening of a new service centre in Steelpoort, further expanding its footprint in one of South Africa’s key mining regions.
The new facility is strategically positioned to support customers in Steelpoort, Burgersfort, and surrounding mining and industrial areas by providing faster access to dewatering pump services, spare parts, and technical support.
According to Jordan Marsh, Managing Director of Integrated Pump Technology, the move forms part of the company’s broader strategy to improve localised service delivery and reduce downtime for customers operating in demanding environments.
“With a significant installed base of both Godwin diesel-driven pump sets and Grindex submersible pumps in this area, having reliable local support is essential,” said Marsh. “Our focus is not only on supplying pumps through our distributor network, but also on strengthening technical support through dedicated service hubs positioned closer to customer operations.”
The Steelpoort service centre will provide a full range of support services, including pump repairs, maintenance, equipment modifications, and technical assistance tailored to specific dewatering applications.
Integrated Pump Technology says the facility mirrors the capabilities available at its main Jet Park service centre, ensuring customers in the region receive the same level of technical expertise and operational support.
The company has also prioritised local stockholding at the new centre, ensuring faster access to new pumps and critical spare parts when urgent repairs or replacements are required.
Marsh explained that quick turnaround times are crucial for mining and industrial customers where uninterrupted dewatering operations are essential for maintaining productivity and site safety.
The new service centre will additionally support the company’s recently appointed regional distributor, Rob Day Mining, by improving access to equipment, spare parts, and technical services across the region.
Integrated Pump Technology believes the expansion will help strengthen the presence of both the Godwin diesel-driven pump range and Grindex submersible pumps within South Africa’s mining sector.
The company says the Steelpoort development forms part of a larger regional expansion strategy aimed at improving responsiveness and service reliability for customers across Southern Africa.
“Our goal is to deliver world-class dewatering solutions backed by responsive expert support,” Marsh concluded. “The Steelpoort service centre is another important step in ensuring customers can depend on us wherever they operate.”
