Sulzer to write off assets in Russia and Poland

Following Sulzer’s decision to exit the Russian market and close its Polish businesses, the company has decided to write off most of its assets in the two countries.

Sulzer expects a one-time impact of CHF125 million–CHF135 million at current foreign exchange rates. CHF125m will be recognized in the first half of 2022.

The one-time asset write-offs will have no significant impact on Sulzer’s operational results.

Sulzer will report its half-year results on 29 July 2022.
