Xylem Acquires Majority Stake in Water Analytics Firm Idrica

Xylem and Idrica initially partnered in early 2023, with Xylem distributing Idrica’s GoAigua technology worldwide and acquiring a minority stake in the company.

This collaboration laid the foundation for Xylem Vue, a platform that combines Xylem’s digital water solutions with Idrica’s technology to provide real-time insights addressing challenges like water scarcity and aging infrastructure. With Xylem’s recent acquisition of a majority stake in Idrica, the companies aim to further integrate their technologies and deliver a more seamless and effective experience for customers.

“Deepening our partnership with Idrica is a key step in our strategy to provide intelligent solutions for our customers,” said Matthew Pine, CEO of Xylem. “By working together, we can offer deeper insights into water networks, helping utilities address critical issues like water loss more effectively and affordably.”

Jaime Barba, CEO of Idrica and head of Xylem Vue, added, “Water utilities face complex systems that make data-driven decision-making a challenge. This enhanced partnership will empower water and wastewater utilities to better connect and manage their digital assets, simplifying operations with a secure and holistic approach.”
