VEGA will showcase its latest level and pressure measurement technology for the water and wastewater sector at ESS Expo 2026, taking place at the NEC Birmingham on 16–17 September as part of the WWEM zone.
The instrumentation specialist will exhibit at stand WW-K70, where it will demonstrate technologies designed for applications including MCERTS flow measurement, Event Duration Monitoring (EDM), combined sewer overflow and sewer monitoring, sludge handling, digester level control, and burst pipe and leak detection.
Radar technology for challenging water applications
Among the products on display will be VEGA’s VEGAPULS radar level transmitters, with selected models available with MCERTS Class 1, WRAS and Ex ia ATEX certification.
The loop-powered, non-contact instruments are designed for level measurement in demanding environments where condensation, material build-up and turbulence can affect conventional measurement technologies.
Optional controllers can provide additional functionality within measurement systems, helping operators manage measurement and monitoring requirements across water and wastewater facilities.
Pressure measurement for water and wastewater systems
VEGA will also present its range of pressure transmitters based on its CERTEC ceramic measuring cell.
The portfolio includes submersible pressure transmitters, Bluetooth-configurable pressure switches and differential pressure instruments for applications such as flow measurement and filtration.
Configurations designed specifically for water and wastewater environments include flush-mounted versions, abrasion-resistant housings and lightning protection. WRAS-approved models are also available.
Instrumentation for resource recovery and energy applications
VEGA will demonstrate applications beyond conventional water treatment, including renewable energy and resource recovery.
In waste-to-energy facilities, radar technology can be used to measure levels in fuel bunkers, combustion chambers and ash silos. Radar and pressure instrumentation can also support biogas processing applications, while differential pressure instruments can be used in systems such as coolant circuits.
The company will additionally showcase conductive level switches for point-level detection in applications including sumps and chemical tanks, with ATEX-certified options available.
Supporting infrastructure monitoring
The exhibition comes as the UK water sector enters AMP8, a period expected to bring increased investment in infrastructure, monitoring and operational resilience.
VEGA’s presence at ESS Expo 2026 will provide water and wastewater professionals with an opportunity to explore measurement technologies for improving monitoring, process control and operational performance across treatment and distribution systems.
